Overview
Designing a More Structured Picking Workflow
ABC processes around 10,000 orders a day, with orders ranging from single SKU to multi-item orders. I explored a picking system that improves efficiency and accuracy through batch picking, guided sequences, and built-in verification.
Problem
The existing process relies on printed labels and order-by-order picking, creating unnecessary travel and increasing the risk of SKU and quantity errors.
Solution
I explored Single and Batch Runs, location-based picking sequences, and verification checkpoints for shelf, SKU, quantity, and tote scanning.
